Today was fine and dandy but, the finale is going to be the best! That's where I'll begin... at the end. Tonight is the climax of the Perseids. What is the Perseids you ask? Well, it is a collection of dust and debris left behind from the commet Swift-Tuttle. Why is that so fantastic? Because every year when the earth passes these remains in space, we are bombarded by the excess!!! That means SHOOTING STARS!!!! Where I'm at, it's expected to see 100+ every hour. That's like 1 every 40 seconds!!!! I cannot wait. In fact it's killing me to be using the laptop to get a signal and not laying out on the tramp with some music and a blankie. But, so be it. They'll be there all night! I have a fascination about stars. For one, my father owns a rather large telescope. Celestial bodies(not meaning beautiful girls) have always perked his interest. But more than my inheritance from heredity, I created a bond with the stars over three years ago. You may have wished on a star before, but mine is something more than that. You may know the Cinderella song "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes." This is not far from my translation. I dream on stars. As I stated, it began three years ago when we first began building our cabin. That summer, we were up here quite frequently which prohibited me from being with friends, but gave me plenty of time to think. So, what does a 15 year old lad ponder up in his mind? Girls. That's about it. And for me, it's rarely ever plural. So girl. I made a very specific dream on a star about this girl. I glanced up into the sky and reiterated the very popular poem once repeated by a young boy made of wood.
"Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight;
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight."
And I went on my ponderous ways. Luck may have it, but a couple of weeks later I returned to the Cabin. I recalled my previous wish or dream, whatever you'd like to call it. And what'll you know, that very thing I hoped for, occurred! So I began my dream collection. Every night up here, I make a dream on a star. I right down in the back of my journal. Each has a number, and each a small section on the left where check marks go after the dream has come true. I have dreamed over 100 times. And as of right now, 94 of them have come true. Crazy I know. Once I realized the power I had, I had to be very careful with what I asked for.
The rest of my day went as follows...
I woke up a little later than usual. Had me some Honey Nut Cheerios, but the malt-o-meal brand in the bags. Then off to work. Did quite a bit of drywall taping. That's about all I do these days. I took a quick walk outside on one of my five minute drink breaks and guess what I found? A giant snake!! Actually, it was a very small snake. I decided to catch her and take some pictures of her. Besides she was chillin a puddle in the creek teasing the baby tadpoles! And when I say teasing, I don't mean name calling, I mean eating. So, I made some wonderful mommy froggie very happy I hope. Anywho, the snake bit me. Twice. But that's ok. Little blood doesn't bother me. I need name suggestions for my new friend though! Please comment and give your two bits about what she should be called. I didn't keep her as a pet, but need to refer to her as something.
After catching_________ I released her (far away from the puddle), and started working again. Worked till 8:50. That's pretty late considering I started at 8:15. If anything, I've learned a bit how to motivate myself to work hard this summer. It's easy when someone's watching you, but when you're living on your own, nobody is there to question whether you worked your hardest or not. I'm grateful that we can improve our weaknesses as I found this was one of mine. Excited to serve a mission so that I can discover more of my abundant flaws. The call could be here any day now!

I think you should name the snake Nagini like Voldemorts snake in Harry Potter. Rebbecca gives me a good feeling about your snake too. Sounds like you had an awesome day! :)
p.s. celestial bodies, that was so funny! You're sure the snake isn't poisonous?
